108 Indians arrested in Sri Lanka for violating immigration rules
Colombo: 108 Indians have been arrested for going to Sri Lanka on a tourist visa and violating the rules of the country. 48 people have been staying in Sri Lanka after the visa was completed. Sequential tests have been conducted in Sri Lanka following the serial blasts of 310 people. Information about foreigners has been collected and investigated. At this stage, 108 Indians have been arrested for visiting the tourist visa. Sri Lankan authorities said they violated immigration rules.
In the Aluthgama and Bentara areas, 48 people in the building are staying over the visa. Earlier, Sri Lankan police detained two Indians who were staying in Rajagiri area without proper visa in Sri Lanka. Details of these 28 and 32 years have not been released. The detainee was produced before a magistrate in Aluthgade and imprisoned.
